A Short Message To Get You Excited For Sunday’s Worship Service.

The Fervent Prayer Of A Righteous Person

Jesus told us to ask, seek and knock (Matthew 7:7-8), and we’re also told that the fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much (James 5:16). Prayer is powerful, and there are so many opportunities being presented to our congregation that we should be praying about! Please join us this Sunday as we pray for 7 things for the congregation together, and let’s all pray this prayer every day next week! We can’t wait to pray with you all! See you Sunday at 10 AM for Bible class, and 11 AM for worship!

In 1804, a small group of Presbyterian ministers from Kentucky and Ohio, including Barton Warren Stone, penned and signed a document, "The Last Will and Testament of the Springfield Presbytery", at Cane Ridge that resulted in the birth of a movement seeking unity among Christians along non-sectarian lines. They would call themselves simply "Christians. The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), the Churches of Christ (non-instrumental), and the Christian Churches (independent) of the Stone-Campbell movement trace their origins here. This movement is often noted as the first one indigenous to American soil.

We will meet at the church building at 11 AM. It will take about an hour to get to Paris. Cane Ridge is not far from town.

  • Locking Up After Services & Events

We are in need of volunteers to make sure the building is locked following the conclusion of our Sunday & Mid-week services. A sign-up sheet has been placed in the lobby that runs through the remainder of the calendar year. If you have any questions, please contact Scott Trent or the church office via email.

The Holly Hill Tech Team needs help. We would love to have a few more people trained and available to set up the livestreams and audio equipment. It’s a fairly simple task and you’ll be well trained before being thrown into the seat alone. If you’re interested, see David Jones, Brad Gregory, or Brad Proctor.

  • Meal Train & Potluck Ministry

  • Greeting Card Ministry

Every Sunday there are cards spread out on a table in the auditorium, right in front of the nursery window, which will be sent out to various church members and guests who need encouragement. You can help serve and encourage by making sure to sign these cards each week. If you know someone who would benefit from receiving a card from the church, please give the name(s) and address to Joyce Best. We will have “Get Well” cards, “Thinking of You” cards, “Praying For You” cards, and “Sympathy” cards. You can also text the information to (502) 593-5865.
