A Short Message To Get You Excited For Sunday’s Worship Service.

Do You Want To Be Healed?

In John 5:1-17, we the healing of the paralytic at the pool of Bethesda. But this man is not the only person in need of healing in this passage. The Jewish leaders are grumbling and questioning Jesus' authority, showing they too need healing, but this time, of the heart. The question that Jesus asks the paralyzed man is the question Jesus asks us all: "Do you want to be healed?" In this passage, we see one man who accepts Jesus' authority for healing, and Jesus seeks Him out, while we see others who reject and challenge His authority, seeing their righteousness in their OWN ability to obey rules. So, the real question is, who is ACTUALLY sick in this passage? The paralyzed man who trusts Jesus, or the religious leaders who question His authority?
