A Short Message To Get You Excited For Sunday’s Worship Service.
The Last Supper
Article By: Elijah Bell
We are nearing the end of our series on meals with Jesus. Fittingly, as the last lesson and meal we will look at the Last Supper in John 13. At this meal that Jesus shares with His apostles, He is well aware of what is about to happen. He even knows that He is sharing a meal with the one who is about to betray Him (John 13:1-2).
But even though Jesus knew He was sharing a meal with His betrayer, He didn’t let that stop Him from serving them in the most humble and exemplary way. He humbled himself by donning a servant’s towel, washing their feet, and leaving them an example of what true love looks like. Jesus was about to go to the cross. He was in the presence of a betrayer. But yet He took the time to serve, showing us that the pinnacle of greatness is actually at the lowest position.
This Sunday, we will break down this passage and see that when Jesus shares a meal with Judas, three incredible things happen as an example for us as we learn to show love to the Judas in our lives.
True Christianity is not merely learning to eat with Jesus, but to also eat with Judas.

Feb 28 | My Favorite Things Party
Ladies, I am hosting my fourth annual “My Favorite Things Party” on Saturday, Feb 28 @ 10:00 AM in the church fellowship hall. For the party, please bring three items (all three of the items need to be the same thing) of something that is your favorite. It can be anything, kitchen utensils, makeup, notebook, lotion, books, snacks, etc., and we will go around and tell each other why that item is one of our favorites. The price limit is a max of $30 for all three items combined. No need to wrap the gifts, because we will show everyone what we brought. After the party is done you will go around and take three different items home with you of your choosing out of something that someone else brought! This is a great opportunity to get to know your fellow sisters in Christ better while having fun! We will be eating brunch foods, so please bring a yummy brunch type dish if you can. Hope to see you all there! Contact Katie Bell with any questions.

If you’d like to help a family in need of a meal or sign up to bring a dish to a potluck, please contact Robin Mayes.

Please pray for this position and for our congregation and for the search committee that will be formed in the coming days.

Every Sunday there are cards spread out on a table in the auditorium, right in front of the nursery window, which will be sent out to various church members and guests who need encouragement. You can help serve and encourage by making sure to sign these cards each week. We will have “Get Well” cards, “Thinking of You” cards, “Praying For You” cards, and “Sympathy” cards.
