Plan a Visit

Step 1: Get answers to your questions

  • Planning out your visit in advance allows us to know you’re coming so we can have someone waiting JUST for you at the front door to welcome you in, and make you feel at home. Consider planning a visit like having a best friend waiting for you at the door, and saving a seat for you.

  • Your plan-a-visit host will welcome you in, help you find a seat, answer all your questions, and make sure you have all the appropriate handouts. If you have kids, they will also help you get them to their Bible classes. Your host will also make sure you are introduced to the church leaders, and that you leave with a few new friends.

  • At Holly Hill, there is no dress code. A few people might wear suits and ties, while many others wear jeans and t-shirts.

  • No, as a guest, there is nothing expected of you. Your presence is more than we could ask for! You are not expected to give any money as our guest, nor will you be asked to come forward, speak in front of the audience, or do anything that makes you uncomfortable. Your level of involvement in the church is at your own pace, and we will not push you to do anything you’re not ready for.

  • Kids are more than welcome at Holly Hill! If you come early for the Bible class before worship, we have Bible classes for all ages on the lower level. Your plan-a-visit host will help you find the right classrooms. During the worship service, the children will worship in the main auditorium with everyone else. Should you need help with your kids during the service, we’ve got plenty of people who would be more than happy to sit with you and help. If you need to take a child out who is misbehaving, we have a nursery at the back of the auditorium.

  • A typical worship service includes singing, congregational prayer, communion (Lord’s supper), and a lesson (sermon). If you’re a guest with us, you are not expected to participate in the communion. Learn more on our What To Expect page.

  • Don’t worry! We know that visiting a new church can be overwhelming. After you submit your plan-a-visit form on the next page, a staff member will reach out to you to help put your mind at ease about all the unknowns, and answer any questions you may have. You can also visit our What To Expect page for more details on what a typical Sunday looks like here at Holly Hill, and what all that means for you.
