Christian Counseling
In February of 2010, we opened a new opportunity to the community of Frankfort. We now have a licensed therapist available every Monday in an office downstairs at our building. We believe there is a great need for counseling that isn't based in secular ideology, but is based in the Word of God, and uses the principles God has given us as a guide to better mental and emotional health. Below, you will find the information needed to contact and make appointments with Melissa McFaddin, M.S., LMFT.
PHONE: (859) 582-5937
Melissa's cell phone and voicemail are as confidential and secure as any private session with her, so feel free to contact her this way. She also wants all to know that she is open to speaking with you over the phone first, to help you decide whether or not you need to set up an appointment.

FAQ's:
1. What about privacy?
Melissa keeps everything completely confidential. While she is under the oversight of the elders at Holly Hill, that does not mean that she will be reporting anything regarding her sessions to the elders. It simply means that they are going to be the ones deciding on her time here, office space, etc. No one will be aware of what is discussed during treatment, or of the fact that you are in therapy unless a separate release of information is signed by you.
2. What do sessions cost?
Melissa does not currently accept insurance. However, many are able to pay out of pocket and have their insurance company reimburse them. You will need to contact your insurance company in advance to determine if they will reimburse you. The cost of a one-hour session is $45. Payment plans are available, which can be set up based on your income. In the event that even that isn't a viable option for you, a request can be made for assistance from the church. Ultimately, we want those who need help to get it. And, we don't want money to stand in the way.
3. What kind of commitment is required?
None! There is no requirement to continue sessions unless you wish to. If you wish at any time to end therapy for any reason, you may do so. You control whether or not you meet, and how often you meet. Sessions are scheduled as often as needed or desired, whether weekly, bi-weekly, or 1-2 times per month, based on your needs and scheduling ability.
4. Who is Melissa qualified to help?
Almost anyone! Melissa's licensure is in the areas of marriage and family therapy. This means that anything from pre-marital counseling to divorce prevention to raising children is naturally going to be her specialty. However, she is also qualified to help with all kinds of difficulties in individuals' lives, including stress, depression, anxiety, and grief. If you are unsure if she can help, give her a call. She is more than happy to discuss options over the phone before committing to a session. And, in the rare case that she isn't able to help, she will happily refer you to someone qualified to aid you in your situation.
